Thoughtfulness…

Today I came home from work and these beautiful sunflowers were sitting on my porch.

My neighbor had to go out of town on business and did not want to throw them away with so much life left in each flower. Being the extremely kind, thoughtful, loving person that she is, she thought of me and how much I would appreciate them.  She and I are both single moms with super busy schedules. So, we always try to have each other’s back; which includes thoughtful ways to put a smile on each others face.  Whether it’s sharing dinner, neatly folding each other’s warm laundry fresh out of the dryer, her PR Firm taking on one of my students as a summer intern, watching each other’s kid or sharing sun flowers; we know we can count on each other.

Being thoughtful is important in all relationships; at work, at home and even when it comes to interacting with strangers.  As we all continue to grow we should keep looking for ways in which we can bless others on a regular basis.
